DIGITAL ART 1&2

Digital Art 1 was designed to hone our art skills in the technological side of things using a couple of Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). What I learned in that class was how to create effects and edit photos effectively in Photoshop along with how to create a plethora of works from the program Illustrator. Also learned how to use all those programs together to create detailed artwork. This class really helped with my creative vision and thinking a little more outside the box, the abstract artistic tools I’ve learned still sticks with me today.

PROGRAMMING AND DEV. FUNDAMENTALS

Program and development fundamentals focused on the basics of comp programming with a better view of how to read and edit comp language accurately. The basics of programming includes identifying languages, recognizing coding errors, how to fix coding errors, and the use of code in the real life situations. I actually learned all these concepts previously but this class put it into a better prospective.

GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY

General psychology was one of the most thought provoking classes that I have taken. I learned a lot of differences within the depths of mental and social development, personality profiling, behavioral patterns (Which plays an important part in marketing), and the different ways people learn and receive information. All these factors are important in the study of psychology and also teaches you how to analyze that matter. I also learned a small amount of child development psychology in the process.

WEBSITE DESIGN

My website design class was supposed to teach the fundamentals, as well as provide hands on work for the students in making website pages. Through the duration of the class we produced a number of works for a portfolio (and one semi-live project). What I learned in that class was the fundamentals and how to develop my coding and web development skills at the same time using multiple programs. How to effectively use the program Adobe Dreamweaver, and use it to publish it on the web.

DATABASE ADMINISTRATION

In Database administration I learned the use of functional spreadsheets and programs similar to. Access was a large part of the class but I did learn a few other programs as well. (Microsoft excel, Microsoft project) I learned how to document statistics and create and edit tables, reports, and queries. This class definitely improved my organizational skills and methods. Hopefully these skills will be used in my immediate future.
